Pre-register for one of the workshops no later than November 30 by contacting the NCR-SARE office at 402-472-7081 or Paula Ford, Regional PDP Coordinator, at 785-532-5328 or pford@oznet.ksu.edu. 9:30 a.m. -- Introduction to SARE and Outcome Funding 10:00 -- What is an Outcome? Using an Outcome Framework for the development of your SARE Project. (Paula Ford, SARE Staff) 10:20 -- Outcome Chain Exercise 10:30 -- Coffee Break 10:45 -- Planning your Outcome-Based Proposal - Program Logic Models (Ford, SARE Staff) 11:15 -- Program Performance Level Exercise - identifying inputs, outputs, outcomes and impact 11:30 -- Logic Modeling Exercise - Individuals and Groups develop logic/outcome- focused proposal models 12:00 -- Lunch After lunch the group will split into two groups -- one group will focus on the development of Outcome-Based Research proposals, the other group will focus on the development of Outcome-Based Education and Professional Development Proposals. Tracks for each of these groups are listed below: 1:00-2:30 p.m. -- (Research Group) Identifying outcomes and indicators (SARE staff) 1:00-2:30 -- (PDP and Education Group) Developing an Evaluation Plan with your Program Logic Model (Ford) - Evaluation Crosswalk group exercise 2:45-3:15 -- (Both Groups) SARE REVIEW PANEL - Panel discussion of review committee and Administrative Council members discussing the review process and review criteria 3:15 -- Wrap-Up and Questions 3:45 -- Adjourn Presenters and SARE staff will be available to answer specific proposal questions after the workshop.
